National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS) provides bursaries to unprivileged students planning to study at various public universities and TVET colleges in South Africa.
NSFAS does not fund all institutions; hence if you are searching for colleges and universities that NSFAS funds, you are in the right place.
NSFAS support 26 public universities and 50 Technical Vocational Education and Training (TVET) colleges.
I will provide the lists of all of the colleges funded by NSFAS, categorised by their location; therefore, you can easily find out if the university you selected falls under the categories or not and then you can apply for NSFAS.

Which College is Eligible To Receive Funding From NSFAS?
As mentioned above, NSFAS do not fund all universities and colleges in South Africa; they only fund some selected universities which include 26 public Universities and 60 TVET colleges that are mentioned above.
Unfortunately, NSFAS does not fund private colleges and universities because this is part of the NSFAS’s guidelines and policy. Therefore, if you plan to study in a private college or university, this bursary is not for you.

Does NSFAS Fund Following Colleges?
Rostec TVET college
It’s one of the requirements of NSFAS that they will give financial aid to students studying in public universities and TVET colleges. Since Rostec is a private institution, it does not receive NSFAS funds.
Rosebank College
NSFAS does not grant financial support to Rosebank College as it is a private institution. NSFAS only offers funds to public universities as per their guidelines and policies. In short, if you are a student at Rosebank College, you need to find another source of financial support.
SACAP (The South African College of Applied Psychology)
Unfortunately, no. NSFAS does not support them; therefore, you can resort to other financial sources available to students of SACAP.
IIE Varsity College
Varsity College does not receive any funds from NSFAS; therefore, you must find another way to obtain financial assistance.
Oxbridge Academy
You will be disappointed, but the answer is no. NSFAS does not support it yet, but we are unsure about the future. Hence keep yourself informed about any updates related to NSFAS.
